Until we can be together at Camp again, we are grateful to continue to stay connected and spread joy and hope far and wide through Camp Sunshine at Home programming this summer.

Box of Sunshine: Summer 2021

We are excited to share our brand – new Summer 2021 Box of Sunshine with you! Get ready for a box full of hands – on activities, arts and crafts projects, challenges, goodies, and more. All the fun is designed for the whole family to enjoy whenever and however you choose. Each Box of Sunshine will include wish boats for each of the children to create – one of our most special Camp Sunshine traditions.

You’ll also receive access to a website full of on-demand video content including project demonstrations from volunteers and staff, a variety of guided activities from volunteers, and greetings from special guests.
Camp Sunshine: Together at Home: Summer 2021

Together at Home: Summer 2021 virtual sessions include a Box of Sunshine mailed to your home with everything listed above, plus 4 evenings of virtual family programming. Get ready for a virtual twist on some beloved Camp Sunshine traditions along with some new activities, too! The program will include entertainment and activities, a talent show, and wish boat ceremony. With the opportunity to share videos for introductions, talent show performances, and to participate in the Love Cup Challenge, you’ll get to share with and see other families and volunteers while you relax during the program. All programs are designed for the whole family to participate in together. Programs run M – TH evenings at 7pm EST via Zoom.

June 28 – July 1: Retinoblastoma and Other Eye Cancers
July 5 – 8: Oncology 1
July 12 – 15: Hematology / Oncology (families of children with any eligible hematology OR oncology diagnosis)
July 19 – 22: Brain Tumor: Low Grade
Jul 26 – 29: Lupus (SLE, Sjogren’s syndrome, Wegener’s Granulomatosis)
Aug 2 – 5: Oncology 2
Aug 9 – 12: Nephrology / Solid Organ Transplant
Aug 16 – 19: Sickle Cell Disease
Aug 23 – 26: Mixed Diagnosis (for families of children with any eligible diagnosis)
Eligibility Information
Programs are for families with a child 18 years old or younger with one of the following diagnoses:

Cancer

Retinoblastoma

A brain tumor
-
Kidney disease
-
Solid organ transplant recipients
-
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Wegener's granulomatosis, and Sjogren's syndrome (age 21 and younger)

Sickle cell disease
-
Other hematologic conditions: immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), aplastic anemia, beta thalassemia major, thrombocytosis, myelodysplastic syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, common variable immune deficiency (CVID), severe congenital neutropenia, sideroblastic anemia, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS), Fanconi Anemia, Diamond-Blackfan Anemia, Schwachman-Diamond Syndrome, Dyskeratosis Congenita / Telomere Biology Disorders
