In Southern California on May 19th, National Armed Forces Day, as many as 20 active and retired military participants set out to complete a marathon on the water! That’s right, paddling 26.2 miles along the Pacific Coast in kayaks and on paddleboards concluding at the San Diego Yacht Club. Many of this year’s participants completed the Around the World Swim last year around Coronado Island, and we are humbled and honored by their continued commitment.
Camp Sunshine is grateful to have hosted the 2018 Marathon Paddle Landing Party & Dinner at the San Diego Yacht Club. Taking place at the conclusion of the paddle marathon, Camp Sunshine introduced distinguished guests and honored the SEAL team and event supporters. Check out photos from the event below!
