Additional Information

Each family will stay in a suite that includes two twin beds, two bunk beds, and a full sized futon. The suites also contain a refrigerator, microwave, and full bathroom.

Camp Sunshine has coin operated washers and dryers available to families.

There is no store at Camp Sunshine so families are responsible for bringing the following items:

*Camp Sunshine is an alcohol and tobacco free campus.

Camp Sunshine does not provide transportation but will pick families up in Portland, Maine.

Travel information (pick up & departure times from Portland) should be sent in two weeks prior to your family’s arrival at Camp Sunshine.

If you need to be picked up in Portland, Maine from the bus station, train station, or airport, please be aware of Camp Sunshine’s service for pick up time: 8:00am-8:00pm.

If we do not hear from your family two weeks prior to the scheduled session you are assigned, then transportation from your Portland drop off will be the responsibility of your family. The average taxi cost range between is $45-70 dollars from Portland to Camp Sunshine.

A physician is on-site 24 hours a day at Camp Sunshine. Blood draws can be scheduled for a child while he/she is attending camp. Lab reports will be faxed to the child's attending physician.
