Camp Sunshine

A RETREAT FOR CHILDREN WITH LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES AND THEIR FAMILIES

The Endowment Fund & Capital Campaign

Our new year-round campus is now complete (having officially opened June 17, 2001). The challenge now is to establish an Endowment Fund needed to support the program and increase the number of sessions per year in which we can offer this unique program to families in need.

The new campus on beautiful Sebago Lake is located on 23 acres of donated land adjacent to Point Sebago Resort. The facility now serves 40 families each week, with the capacity to operate approximately 45 sessions a year.

We need a total of $14,500,000 in the Endowment Fund to support a year-round program for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Of this amount, approximately $1,200,000 will be used to construct a 7,000 square foot addition and second story onto the Camp Sunshine Viterbi Family Activity Center. The links in the box to the right will take you to the endowment brochure and newsletter, in addition to the architechtual renderings for the addition.

We have currently received $7,000,000 in commitments towards the Endowment Fund and Capital Campaign. Our plan for the next couple of years is to raise the remaining amount required to yield the income needed to assist with the operation of the year-round program.
