I recently volunteered at the Oncology week at Camp Sunshine. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Going into the camp not knowing anyone I was quite nervous, but all of the volunteers and families alike were so kind and welcoming. The giving atmosphere was awesome, the week could not have gone better. From the weather, to the people there; everything was wonderful. I will never forget the spectacular people who have given me a new and better perspective on life.
Later, I attended the camp as a camper during the Lupus week. This experience was equally as valuable. For the first time I was able to meet other kids that had been through similar things that I had been through, and it was awesome being able to talk about it with them. The camp was awesome and I can't imagine my summer without it.
