As many of you know over the past 3 summers I have volunteered at 5 sessions at Camp Sunshine and fell in love with the kids, parents, and other volunteers. The experiences I have had there are hard to put into words.
Camp Sunshine is a place for children with life threatening illnesses and their families to escape, relax and be around other families going through similar experiences. It is a place where there are always laughs; parents are able to have a quiet day to themselves without having to worry about their children; children are in a world where they feel "normal"; siblings of sick children get equal attention and have fun.
I hope to be able to return for many years to come and would love to be able to give this experience to a family.
One weeklong session at camp costs $1500 and is completely free to the family, who on top of the medical bills would otherwise not get to have a family vacation. Please help me sponsor a family- any little bit you can give makes a difference. Thank you!
